About this puja

Narayan Bali and Nag Bali are two distinct rites performed across three days. Day one is for preparation, sankalp and the Narayan Bali vidhi with pind daan. Day two is the Nag Bali vidhi, in which a pishta naag made of wheat flour is worshipped and the rite completed. Day three concludes with the closing pujan, havan and daan. The puja is performed on the banks of the Godavari and inside the mandir precinct as the tradition prescribes.
