Tripindi Shraddha is performed with three pinds offered to the three generations of ancestors, along with the pujan of Brahma, Vishnu and Rudra. The vidhi includes sankalp, punyahavachan, tarpan, the offering of the three pinds and concluding daan. At Trimbakeshwar it is usually performed on the Kushavarta ghat, on a tithi chosen with the family.
