About this puja
Sat Chandi follows the same form as Navchandi on a larger scale, with a hundred paths of the Durga Saptashati recited by a group of purohits over several days. It includes sankalp, Kalash and Devi sthapana, the daily paths, a havan with the dashansh ahuti, kumari pujan, Devi aarti and concluding daan. Arrangements for the hall, havan kund and bhojan are planned with the family in advance.

What to bring and wear
- Full name and gotra of the family taking the sankalp
- Preferred dates and the expected number of guests
- Red cloth, bangles and a sari for the Devi, if the family wishes to bring their own
Common questions
How far in advance should this be planned?
Several weeks, since a group of purohits and a suitable hall have to be arranged for consecutive days.
Can the family attend only part of it?
The family usually sits for the sankalp on the first day and for the havan and aarti on the last. Attending the daily paths is up to the family.
